Candice Susan Swanepoel was born on October 20, 1988 in Mooi River, Natal. She is a South African model.

Candice Swanepoel was born in Mooi River, South Africa, to an Afrikaans-speaking Boer family of Dutch descent and grew up on a dairy and beef farm in her birthplace. She attended St. Anne's College girls' boarding school. At the age of 15 she was discovered by a model scout at a flea market in Durban. She has been a Victoria's Secret model since 2007 and appears in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. In October 2013, she wore the Royal Fantasy Bra - a $10 million jeweled bra showcased annually.

Swanepoel was featured on the cover of Elle Germany (June 2008), Vogue Greek (October 2005), Vogue Italian (February 2011) and US cover of Ocean Drive (November 2009). She was active on the catwalk for Trussardi, Diane von Fürstenberg, Dolce & Gabbana and Tommy Hilfiger, among others.

In 2012 she was ranked 10th on the Forbes list of highest paid models, in 2013 she was 9th.

Candice Swanepoel was in a relationship with Brazilian model Hermann Nicoli, whom she met in Paris when she was 17. In October 2016, they gave birth to their first child together, a son. In June 2018 she became the mother of a boy again. She is a sponsor in the mothers2mothers organization, which supports HIV-positive mothers.
