Fergie Duhamel (Stacy Ann Ferguson), known as Fergie, was born on March 27, 1975 in Whittier, California. She is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, and actress.

Ferguson was born to Theresa Ann and Patrick Ferguson on March 27, 1975. She attended Mesa Robles Middle School and Glen A. Wilson High School.

Her solo debut, The Dutchess, was released on September 19, 2006 in the United States and reached number 2 there. The album also reached high chart positions in other countries and has sold over five million copies worldwide to date.

In July 2006, Ferguson also landed her first major supporting role on the big screen. In Wolfgang Petersen's film remake Poseidon, for whose soundtrack she contributed two titles, Ferguson embodied the singer Gloria. She also recorded a cover version of Heart's song Barracuda for the film Shrek the Third.

In 2006 she was recognized as the woman with the prettiest legs in show business. A year earlier, Jennifer Aniston had received this title. In September 2007, Ferguson also launched her first line of handbags.

Ferguson won Best Female Artist Of The Year at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards and was twice nominated at the Teen Choice Awards, winning the award for Choice Female Artist.

From 2009 to 2010 she worked extensively with ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash. In addition to numerous guest appearances at his concerts, she also went into the studio with him.

In May 2010, her first perfume, Outspoken, was launched.

In 2016 she released the single M.I.L.F. $. The album Double Dutchess was released in September 2017, but commercially fell short of expectations and failed to reach the top 10.

As of January 10, 2009, Ferguson was married to actor Josh Duhamel. On August 29, 2013, Ferguson gave birth to their son in Los Angeles. On September 15, 2017, the separation of the two was announced.
