Lauren Cohan was born on January 7, 1982 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is an American-British actress.
Lauren Cohan was born in Philadelphia and lived in Cherry Hill Township, New Jersey before moving to the UK where her mother is from. Cohan studied drama and English literature at the University of Winchester. After that, she traveled with the theater group she co-founded there and worked on various projects in London and Los Angeles.
Her first major role was Sister Beatrice opposite Heath Ledger and Sienna Miller in Casanova. After that, she got a supporting role in the movie Party Animals 2 - The Legend Continues.
This was followed by a few guest roles in various television series, such as Bela Talbot in Supernatural, Rose in The Vampire Diaries and Vivian Volkoff in Chuck. Cohan has been part of the cast of The Walking Dead since 2011 as Maggie Greene.
In 2016, she appeared in cinemas as Martha Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice alongside fellow The Walking Dead co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
