Biography of Laetitia Casta

Laetitia Marie Laure Casta was born in Pont-Audemer, Normandy, France, on May 11, 1978. She is a French actress, model, screenwriter and film director.

Her mother, Line Blin, is from Normandy. Her father, Dominique Casta, comes from Corsica. Casta has an older brother, Jean-Baptiste, and a younger sister, Marie-Ange. He spent his childhood between Normandy and Corsica.

Casta is the official face of L'Oréal.Guess? denim ads, which was the first major ad campaign she was involved in. She appeared in three consecutive Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues, as well as in Rolling Stone magazine, the Pirelli calendar, promotional ads for L'Oreal and Victoria's Secret, and on hundreds of magazine covers.

She had a close relationship with designer Yves Saint Laurent, who designed the clothes for her that she wore in public.

Laetitia became the center of controversy when she, shortly after being selected to become the new Marianne, moved her residence to London. However, she assured that her transfer had been due to professional reasons, despite everything, some insinuated that the real reason was to escape tax pressure, something for which French celebrities are often criticized by the press and by politicians close to the left.

Casta participates in the music video Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing by singer Chris Isaak, in which she plays the role of a girl who flashes herself in front of a camera in a hotel room while Chris Isaak himself sees her on TV in your room. As a result of the high erotic content of the video, the VH1 network broadcast two versions of it, one for all audiences broadcast until 9 at night, and another without censorship, broadcast from 9 onwards. The video was ranked 28th on VH1's 50 Sexiest Videos list.

In 2010 she appears again in a music video in a clearly erotic attitude, it is the video I love you by the singer Rihanna, where she plays the role of the protagonist's lover.

In 2015, Laetitia Casta directed her first short film En moi (In Me), which starred Yvan Attal and Lara Stone at the Paris Opera. The film was specially selected for the closing short film at the 55th Critics' Week Cannes 2016.

Laetitia is the mother of four children. She had her eldest daughter, Sahteene, on October 19, 2001 as a result of her courtship with actor, director and fashion photographer Stephane Sednaoui. Her other two children, Orlando and Athenea, were born on September 21, 2006 and August 29, 2009, respectively, as a result of her relationship with the Italian actor Stefano Accorsi, with whom she was engaged.

In June 2017, Casta married her boyfriend of two years, French actor Louis Garrel. On March 17, 2021, Casta gave birth to her fourth child, the couple's first.
