Megan Denise Fox was born on May 16, 1986 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She is an American actress and model.

Megan Fox was born into poverty in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, to Gloria Darlene and Franklin Thomas Fox. Their ancestors were Irish, French and North American Indians. After her parents divorced, her mother remarried and Fox lived with her sister, mother and stepfather.

Fox made her film debut in 2001's Holiday in the Sun, opposite Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. She then had a cameo appearance on Bad Boys II. This was followed by smaller appearances on sitcoms such as Two and a Half Men and Hello Holly. In the film Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004) she starred as Carla, Lola's adversary, played by Lindsay Lohan.

She became known to a larger audience in the 2007 Michael Bay film Transformers. There she played Sam Witwicky's (portrayed by Shia LaBeouf) girlfriend Mikaela Banes. In the sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, she starred alongside Shia LaBeouf, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro. Fox had signed on for the lead role in the third part, but was fired because of a Hitler comparison with Michael Bay.

In the 2008 film How to loose friends and Alienate People, Fox played an actress alongside Jeff Bridges and Kirsten Dunst. She starred as Jennifer Check in the horror comedy Jennifer's Body, which was released in 2009. In 2010, she was seen in a supporting role in the Jonah Hex comic book adaptation, starring Josh Brolin and John Malkovich. That same year she starred in the drama Passion Play with Mickey Rourke and Bill Murray, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. In 2019, she played the American war correspondent Marguerite Higgins in the South Korean film Battle of Jangsari directed by Kwak Kyung-taek.

She was also offered the role of Lara Croft in the third Tomb Raider film. However, she declined because she didn't want to be compared to Angelina Jolie.

In 2004, Fox began dating actor Brian Austin Green, whom she met on the set of the television series Hopeand Faith. They split up in February 2009 and got back together in June 2010. They married in Hawaii on June 24, 2010. On September 27, 2012, they became parents to a son. Green also brought his son (born March 30, 2002) into the marriage from a relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil. On February 14, 2014, they gave birth to their second son. On August 19, 2015, the two announced their separation, two days later Fox filed for divorce. Their third son was born in August 2016. Since the birth of their son, the divorce has been put on hold. In May 2020, Green confirmed their divorce.

In June 2020 it was announced that Fox was in a relationship with the American musician Machine Gun Kelly. In January 2022, they announced their engagement.

Fox is considered a sex symbol, has been voted one of the most attractive women in the world byMaximandFHMmagazines several times and was named "Sexiest Woman in the World" by FHM in 2008.
