Martha Hunt was born in Wilson, North Carolina, USA. She is an American model.
At the age of 18, Martha Hunt was spotted in the street by a photographer who encouraged her to enter a local competition, which she then won. After her victory, she moved to New York and signed with the modeling agency Code Management.
She made her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week in 2007, walking for Issey Miyake. She was then noticed by the magazine Nylon, which pushed Nathalie Models to make her sign a contract the following year; she leaves her New York agency for NEXT Model Management. She then marched for Givenchy and posed in Elle magazine (France and United Kingdom).
In 2009, she posed for the first time in Vogue China then Harper's Bazaar, GQ, Revue des Modes, V, Glamor Germany and Muse. She parades for Tracy Reese, J. Mendel, Wayne and Rebecca Taylor.
In 2010, she appeared in editorials for Velor, Marie Claire Italia, Vogue Russia and Harper's Bazaar. She advertises BCBG MaxAzria and Y-3.
In 2011, she posed for the Hugo Boss and Via Spiga brands, and for Allure magazine. She's on the cover of Style & the family tunes.
In 2012, she left her agencies to sign with IMG Models in New York, Paris, Milan, London and Sydney, which opened more doors for her in modeling. The same year, she posed for Pennyblack, Jason Wu and Victoria's Secret. It is the 15th video in the LOVE Advent Calendar. She's on the cover of Elle.
Between 2012 and 2013, she marched more than sixty times. We can cite, among others, Alexandre Vauthier, Carolina Herrera, Chanel, Diane von Fürstenberg, Dolce & Gabbana, Giambattista Valli, Giorgio Armani, Hervé Léger, John Galliano, Louis Vuitton, Mulberry, Oscar de la Renta, Prada, Stella McCartney , Tom Ford, Tory Burch, Versace and even Guerissol.

Martha Hunt suffers from idiopathic scoliosis. Since January 2020, she has been engaged to photographer Jason McDonald. Together, they have a daughter named Emery born in November 2021.
