Biography of Alexandra Breckenridge

Alexandra Breckenridge was born on May 15, 1982 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, United States.

She lived in Darien, Connecticut, until she was ten years old, after which she moved with her mother to Los Angeles. A year later, she moved to Mill Valley, California.

She became interested in acting, photography and singing. In 1997, she returned to Los Angeles to train as an actress.

In 2000, she played Shelly Weaver on the series Freaks and Geeks. She appeared in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Dawson's Creek, JAG, Medium, and Undeclared and in Opposite Sex.

She played numerous voice roles on the animated television series Family Guy, and worked on the web series Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy.

From 2007 to 2008, she was writer Willa McPherson on Dirt. She subsequently starred in the fourth season of HBO's True Blood as Katerina Pelham, in the first season of American Horror Story as Moira O'Hara, and recorded two episodes in the third season of Coven.

Between 2015 and 2016, she was part of the cast of the fifth and sixth seasons of The Walking Dead. During 2017, she appeared in the recurring role of Sophie on the drama series This Is Us.

She played the main character Melinda "Mel" Monroe in all three seasons of the Netflix series Virgin River.

She made her film debut in 2002 acting in the movie Big Fat Liar, which would be followed by: She's the Man (2006), The Bridge to Nowhere (2009), Ticket Out (2012), Dark (2015) and Broken Vows (2016) , among other.

In September 2015, she married guitarist Casey Hooper. They had a son, Jack, in September 2016, and a daughter, Billie, born in December 2017.
