Biography of Nargis Fakhri

Nargis Fakhri was born on October 20, 1979 in Queens, New York. She is an American actress and model active in Bollywood films. In 2004, she appeared on America's Next Top Model and made it to the semifinals. Nargis made her debut in the movie Rockstar (2011) opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

Nargis was born in Queens to Czech mother Marie Fakhri and Pakistani father Mohammed Fakhri. Her parents divorced when she was six or seven years old. She has a sister named Aliya Fakhri.

Nargis got her first success with the Bollywood film Rockstar in 2011 and won the Hottest Pair Award along with Ranbir Kapoor. Other films followed, such as Madras Cafe (2013) with John Abraham, an item song in the film Phata Poster Nikhla Hero (2013) with Shahid Kapoor, Main Tera Hero (2014) with Varun Dhawan and Ileana D'Cruz. She made a dance appearance in Salman Khan's hit film Kick (2014).
