Sadie Sink was born on April 16, 2002 in Brenham, Texas. She is an American actress.
SShe gained her first acting experience as a child on the Houston theater stage. She rose to prominence in 2013 when she took on the title role in the Broadway musical Annie. There she also starred alongside Helen Mirren in The Audience.
She also landed her first television role in 2013, starring in an episode of The Americans. The following year she appeared for an episode in the series Blue Bloods. She reprized the recurring role of Suzanne Ballard in the 2015 NBC series American Odyssey.
In 2016, Sadie Sink made her big screen debut in Chuck. The 2017 film The Glass Castle followed, where she starred alongside Woody Harrelson. Since 2017, Sadie Sink has played the role of Maxine "Max" Mayfield ("Madmax") in the second, third and fourth seasons of the Netflix hit series Stranger Things. In 2021 she starred in the film trilogy "Fear Street" as the young "Ziggy Berman".
In 2022, she will play the role of Ellie, the protagonist's daughter, portrayed by Brendan Fraser, in Darren Aronofsky's film The Whale. The film premiered on September 4, 2022 at the Venice International Film Festival.
