Biography of Pixie Lott
Victoria "Pixie" Louise Lott was born on January 12, 1991 in Bromley, London, England. She is a British pop/soul singer, songwriter and actress.
When Pixie Lott was 15, she was signed to record label Island Def Jam Music Group by music producer L.A. Reid. Their debut single Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh) was released on June 8, 2009 by their subsidiary Mercury Records, which went straight to number one in the British charts.
In mid-September, her second single Boys and Girls also reached the top position, having also sold over 50,000 copies. Also, Boys and Girls was released as her debut single on August 24, 2010 in the United States.
On September 14, 2009, their debut album Turn It Up was released. The album debuted at number 6 in the UK Albums Chart and was certified double platinum with sales of over 600,000.
On October 18, 2010, the album was re-released with new tracks under the name Turn It Up Louder.
On September 19, 2009, the charity band Young Soul Rebels, of which Pixie Lott was a part, released the song I Got Soul. This peaked at number 10 in the UK. Pixie Lott wrote the song You Broke My Heart for Alexandra Burke's debut album Overcome and the song Happy Alone for Girls Can't Catch.
She landed the role of Judy in the film Fred: The Movie, which was released in America on Nickelodeon. She also contributed the song Live For The Moment to the soundtrack of the 2010 film StreetDance 3D.
Her second studio album, Young Foolish Happy, was released in the UK on November 14, 2011. It includes duets with Stevie Wonder and John Legend, among others.
It was announced that Lott would release her first greatest hits album on 24 November 2014, called Platinum Pixie: Hits.
