Biography of Sophia Bush

Sophia Anna Bush was born on July 8, 1982 in Pasadena, California. She is an American actress and director.

Sophia Bush is the only child of photographer Charles William Bush and his wife Maureen. At 18, she was named the Pasadena Rose Queen. She studied journalism at the University of Southern California for three years before turning to acting.

She played guest roles in the television series Sabrina. After two TV feature films, she got the role of Brooke Davis in the series One Tree Hill. In 2005 she played Zoey Lang alongside Aaron Carter in Supercross. In 2006, the horror thriller Stay Alive and the successful teen comedy Revenge is sexy followed.

In 2007, she appeared in the horror thriller The Hitcher. In 2008 she starred alongside Kevin Zegers and Vincent D'Onofrio in the film The Narrows, the same year she starred in the film Table for Three. From January 2014 to May 2017 she played Erin Lindsay in a leading role in the series Chicago PD, a spin-off of Chicago Fire.

She took part in a video campaigning against discrimination against homosexual marriages. Stars like Alicia Silverstone and Jane Lynch were also involved alongside her.

On April 16, 2005, Bush married fellow One Tree Hill actor Chad Michael Murray in Santa Monica. The couple's marriage lasted only five months and they divorced in December 2006. By early 2012, Bush was dating Austin Nichols, also an actor from the One Tree Hill cast. From January 2013 to February 2014, Bush was in a relationship with Google X executive Dan Fredinburg, who died in the April 2015 earthquake in Nepal.
