Jelena Noura "Gigi" Hadid was born on April 23, 1995 in Los Angeles. She is an American model.

Gigi Hadid is the daughter of Palestinian real estate investor Mohamed Hadid and Dutch model Yolanda Hadid. Gigi is the older sister of Bella Hadid, who is also a model. She also has a younger brother and several half-siblings. Hadid and her siblings grew up on a ranch in Santa Barbara but then relocated to Malibu.

Hadid's career was initially difficult; many agencies rejected her on the grounds that she was too fat to be a model. Hadid has appeared in VMAN, Elle, Grazia, Cleo, Vogue, and Paper magazines, as well as being on the covers of Galore, Beautiful! and Carine Roitfeld's CR Fashion Book pictured. In 2012 she was the Face of Guess. As one of 12 upcoming models, she was featured in the 2014 Sports Illustrated annual swimwear issue. In 2015, she won The Daily Front Row's Model of the Year Award. At the end of the same year, she made her debut as a runway model at a Victoria's Secret fashion show.

Since 2015, Hadid has been the advertiser for Maybelline and Cara Delevingne's successor as a representative of the fashion label Topshop. Hadid has also appeared in several music videos. Among others, she can be seen in the videos for Bad Blood by Taylor Swift, Simplethings by Miguel and Pillow Talk by Zayn Malik. She starred in the video for Calvin Harris' dance track How Deep Is Your Love, which charted internationally. Furthermore, she can be seen several times in the TV series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

As of November 2015, Gigi Hadid was dating former One Direction singer Zayn Malik. In September 2020, they became parents to a daughter.

Hadid has worked as an advertising medium for various companies and has been a testimonial for Tommy Hilfiger since 2015. In 2016, the fashion collection TommyXGigi, co-designed with Hilfiger, was presented. Hadid also uses her international reputation to market products that bear her name as part of the brand name.
