Biography of Brooke Shields
Brooke Shields was born on May 31, 1965 in New York City.
She descended from the first settlers of Virginia in the United States, in the 16th century (the first member of her family was William Shields, an American pioneer).
She is the daughter of Francis Alexander Shields, a top Revlon executive, son of a famous tennis player Francis Xavier Shields and the Italian princess Donna Marina Torlonia di Civitella-Cesi. Her great-uncle was Prince Alessandro Torlonia, husband of the Infanta Beatriz de Borbón y Battenberg.
Her mother was María Theresa Schmonn, actress, former model and film producer. When she announced that she was pregnant, her father's family offered her money to terminate the pregnancy; she got paid, but did not fulfill the agreement and gave birth to her daughter. Her parents were married, but divorced when she was only five months old.
She has two stepbrothers and three stepsisters.
She was raised Catholic. For her confirmation at age 10, she took the name "Camille".
She began her career at eleven months by participating in a spot for the Ivory soap brand. Growing up, she received piano, ballet, and horseback riding lessons. While she was attending high school in Haworth, New Jersey.
She was discovered by photographer Francesco Scavullo and shot to movie fame with her role as a teenage prostitute in Louis Malle's Pretty Baby. She with a career controlled by her mother and her studies at Princeton.
She entered Dwight Englewood High School in Englewood, New Jersey where she excelled in gymnastics and joined the cheerleading squad.

During 1987 she participated in the film The Diamond Trap and in 1989, in Los Locos de Cannoball 3 and starred in one of her most outstanding films, Brenda Starr. In 1992 she co-stars in Born in freedom (Running wild). She stars in 2001 Corazón al Descubro (What Makes a family), and in 2002 she participates in a four-episode miniseries titled Widows (Viudas).
In 2005 she performed in the musical Chicago in London playing Roxie, she received good reviews.
In 2007 she works in the series Law and Order: Criminal Action, together with Vincent D'Onofrio and a year later, she began to interpret in the series Lipstick Jungle (Women of Manhattan). In 2010, she participated in the series Middle and co-starred in the film En pata de Guerra alongside Brendan Fraser.
In 2017, she appears in a recurring role on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in the series' 19th season.
She was associated by the press with names like Woody Harrelson or Michael Jackson. She announced her relationship with actor Matt Dillon (Sensation of Living) in 1981.
She married tennis player Andre Agassi on April 19, 1997, they divorced in 1999.
In 2001, she married television producer and writer Chris Henchy. She was the mother of a girl, Rowan Francis Hammond after seven failed in vitro fertilization attempts and an abortion. On April 18, 2006, she gives birth to her second daughter, Grier Hammond Henchy.
In 2001, Brooke married Chris Henchy for the second time.
Actor Tom Cruise stated that Shields was addicted to antidepressant drugs. She later apologized to him for criticizing her for taking antidepressants after giving birth to her daughter, Rowan de Ella.
The actress underwent a minor operation in May 2009 to remove a mole from her face that turned out to be cancerous.
