Biography of Gal Gadot

Gal Gadot was born on April 30, 1985 in Petah Tikvah. She is an Israeli model, actress and film producer.

Gal Gadot rose to fame in the modeling industry as Miss Israel in 2004 and competed in the Miss Universe pageant in Ecuador that same year. Gadot - who had served in the Israeli military for two years - participated in the 2007 photo shoot "Women of the Israeli army" for Maxim magazine.

Gadot made her acting debut in the 2008 Israeli television series Bubot. She achieved international fame through the film series Fast & Furious, in which she played the role of Gisele Yashar from 2009 to 2013.

In 2016, she took on the role of Wonder Woman in the comic book adaptation Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. She also embodied this a year later in the film of the same name, Wonder Woman, this time as the leading actress. The film was banned from release in Lebanon and Tunisia due to allegations that she took part in attacks on the Gaza Strip while serving in the army.

In the sequel Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), she reprized the role and was also active as a film producer for the first time. A similar situation to Wonder Woman was repeated in 2022, when the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information decreed that Death on the Nile could not be shown in cinemas, with the suspected calls for a boycott of Gadot in online networks as the background, since she is accused of Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip in 2014.

In 2017, Gadot was inducted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which awards the Oscars annually.

In June 2018, Gadot turned down the moderation of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Israel due to time constraints.

Gadot has been married to her compatriot, businessman Yaron Versano, since 2008 and has three daughters with him (* 2011, * 2017 and * 2021).
