Biography of Cara Delevingne

Cara Jocelyn Delevingne was born on August 12, 1992 in London, England. She is a British model and actress.

Cara Delevingne is the youngest of the three children born to Charles Delevingne and former It girl and model Pandora Stevens. Born in Hammersmith, London, she grew up in the affluent boroughs of Mayfair and Belgravia. She attended the Francis Holland School in central London for girls until she was 16, after which she moved to the Bedales School in Hampshire.

Her sisters are Chloe Delevingne and model Poppy Delevingne. Her grandfather, Jocelyn Stevens, was the founder of Radio Caroline and early editor of Queen magazine, and her grandmother, Janie Sheffield, was Princess Margaret's maid. British actress Joan Collins is her godmother.

Delevingne's modeling career began in 2010 shooting catalogs for the Asos Fall/Winter collection. She was discovered by Sarah Doukas, the founder of the model agency Storm and discoverer of Kate Moss. Shortly thereafter she was hired by Christopher Bailey for the big catwalk, six months later she became the new face of Burberry alongside Eddie Redmayne.

Since 2019, she has starred in the fantasy crime series Carnival Row alongside Orlando Bloom.
