Eva Jacqueline Longoria Baston was born on March 15, 1975 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She is an American actress, model, film director, and film and television producer.

Eva Longoria comes from a Mexican-American family and grew up on a ranch in Corpus Christi, Texas with three sisters. After high school, she attended Texas A&M University-Kingsville, where she was also a cheerleader. She graduated from university with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.

A talent show brought her to Los Angeles, where she landed a minor role on the television series Beverly Hills, 90210 in 2000. A year later, she got a role in the soap opera Shadows of Passion, in which Longoria played Isabella Braña Williams until August 2003 and was awarded an ALMA Award. Immediately afterwards she shot the series Police Report Los Angeles with Ed O'Neill, which was discontinued after four months.

In 2004, Longoria auditioned for the role of Gaby Solis on Desperate Housewives. With an average of 25 million viewers and successes of the series abroad, Eva Longoria also had an international breakthrough. She impersonated the character until the end of the series in 2012.

After appearing in a few smaller films, Longoria directed the 2006 films The Sentinelwith Kiefer Sutherland, Kim Basinger and Michael Douglas and Harsh Times with Christian Bale. In 2008, producers filmed My Big Fat Greek Wedding, starring Eva Longoria, and starring Paul Rudd, Lake Bell and Jason Biggs.

In 2013, Longoria earned an additional degree by completing her master's degree in Chicano Studies at California State University, Northridge. On April 16, 2018, she was honored with the 2634th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. At the end of June 2020, she became a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Longoria was married to actor Tyler Christopher from 2002 to January 2004. As of January 2011, Longoria was married to San Antonio Spurs basketball player Tony Parker. Tony Parker and Eva Longoria have been divorced since January 28, 2011.

In November 2013, Longoria's relationship with Televisa manager José Bastón became known. The two became engaged in December 2015 and married on May 21, 2016 in Acapulco. Their son was born on June 19, 2018.

In early 2005, Longoria signed an endorsement deal with L'Oréal. She is also the official spokesperson for Padres Contra El Cáncer (PADRES), a non-profit organization that helps Latin American children suffering from cancer.
