Biography of Katherine Langford

Katherine Langford was born on April 29, 1996 in Perth, Western Australia. She is an Australian actress and the eldest daughter of Elizabeth Langford and Stephen Langford. She has a younger sister, Josephine Langford, who is also an actress.

She spent her school days at Perth Modern School and achieved success as a swimmer during this time. She studied acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney and singing at Perth's Principal Academy of Performing Arts. She took the master class at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. She made her film debut with the short film Daughter, which premiered at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.

She is best known for her role as Hannah Baker in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for this role in 2018. She played Leah Burke in the film adaptation of Becky Albertalli's "Simon Vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda" titled Love, Simon. For the film Avengers: Endgame she played the adult Morgan Stark, however the scene with her was removed from the final film version, but later released separately.

At the end of 2018, new projects with her became known. She plays in Rian Johnson's Knives Out, which after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2019. In the television series Cursed by director Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler, she slips into the role of Nimue, the Lady of the Lake, who brings King Arthur to his sword Excalibur. The series was released on Netflix in 2020.
