Biography of Alexandra Daddario

Alexandra Anna Daddario was born on March 16, 1986 in New York City. She is an American actress.

Daddario grew up in the Upper East Side, New York City, in a family of Italian-Hungarian descent and attended Marymount Manhattan College.

From 2002 to 2003 she played the role of Laurie Lewis in 43 episodes of the soap opera All My Children. At the same time she finished her education at the Professional Children's School. She then appeared in both television and movies. In 2005 she took on a supporting role in the film The Squid and the Whale. In 2009, she starred in the documentary Jonas Brothers:The Ultimate 3D Concert Experience.

Daddario has made various cameo appearances on American television series, such as The Sopranos, Criminal Intent, Law & Order, Conviction, White Collar and Life on Mars. In 2010, she starred alongside Logan Lerman and Brandon T. Jackson in the fantasy film Percy Jackson - Thieves in Olympus as the lead role of Annabeth Chase, which she also took over in its 2013 sequel Percy Jackson - The Vampire Slayer. In 2014 she starred in four episodes of the series True Detective. Daddario also appeared in the music video for Imagine Dragons' Radioactive in 2012 and in the music video for Maroon 5's Wait in 2018.

In 2015, she had a speaking role in the video game Battlefield Hardline as Dune Alpert and a starring role in the disaster film San Andreas. She also appeared in the 2017 film Baywatch as Summer Quinn, co-starring with Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. Other film and television roles followed, in addition to comedies in horror films and dramas. Her work includes more than 50 productions.

Her grandfather, Emilio Q. Daddario (1918–2010), represented Connecticut in the United States House of Representatives from 1959 to 1971. Her younger brother Matthew Daddario (b. 1987) is also an actor, as is her younger sister Catharine Daddario (b. 1992).

In early December 2021, she announced her engagement to film producer Andrew Form. The wedding took place in New Orleans in late June 2022.
