Biography of Emilie de Ravin

Emilie de Ravin was born on December 27, 1981 in Mount Eliza, Victoria. She is an Australian actress, best known for her roles in various television series.

From the age of nine de Ravin took ballet lessons. At 15 she was accepted into the most prestigious ballet institute in Australia. She has performed in many Australian Ballet Company productions as well as the Danceworld 301 festival.

From 2004 to 2010 she starred as Claire Littleton in the US television series Lost. She played a supporting role in the horror film The Hills Have Eyes (2006).

The marriage to fellow actor Josh Janowicz, which was concluded in June 2006, fell through after just six months. In 2009, she made a cameo appearance opposite Johnny Depp in the film Public Enemies.

In 2010, de Ravin starred as Ally Craig in the feature film Remember Me, opposite Robert Pattinson and Pierce Brosnan. Since February 2012 she has played the supporting role Belle in the fairy tale television series Once Upon a Time, which was expanded to a leading role for the second season. She is engaged to Eric Bilitch and has a daughter and a son with him.
