Heather Graham
Biography of Heather Graham
Heather Joan Grahamwas born on January 29, 1970, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. She is an American film and television actress.
Her father, Jim, is a former FBI agent and her mother, Joan, is a children's book author. Graham has a younger sister, Amy, who is also an actress and writer. The upbringing in the family was carried out in a strict Catholic tradition. Graham later rejected the Catholic Church. She has been practicing Hinduism since 1991.
Graham attended elementary school in Springfield, Virginia, then moved with her family to the Conejo Valley area, near Los Angeles, where she graduated from Agoura High School in 1988.
At first, Graham's parents were sympathetic to the beginning of her acting career, but made sure that she did not participate in films depicting sex and nudity. However, Graham did appear fully nude in several scenes of Boogie Nights (1997).
In 1991, Graham participated in the filming of the television series Twin Peaks, playing the role of Annie Blackburn.
After graduating from high school, Graham began attending continuing education courses at the University of California, Los Angeles. On them she met the actor James Woods. It is possible that thanks to their romance, the actress was cast for participation in the film "Duel in Diggstown" (1992) with the participation of Woods.
Her first role as a lead actress was as Felicia Truchwell in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999). She also featured in the video for the American Woman soundtrack for the film (composed by Lenny Kravitz).
In 2001, Graham starred as Mary Kelly in From Hell, an adaptation of the story of Jack the Ripper. In 2002, she starred in the film Guru, as well as in the less successful film Killing Me Softly.
People magazine included Graham in the list of the 50 most beautiful people in the world (2001).
Graham also played herself in an episode of the television series Sex and the City, starred in nine episodes of NBC's The Clinic (season four, 2004–2005), and had a small role as a teacher on Fox's Arrested Development.
In 2006, she took part in the ABC comedy series Emily's Reasons Why Not, but after the first airing on January 9, 2006, the show was announced to be discontinued.
