Jennifer Aniston was born on February 11, 1969 in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, California.
She is the daughter of actors John Aniston and Nancy Dow. Her father is Greek from Crete, while her mother was born in New York City, being a direct descendant of the royal Stuart house of Scotland.
She has two half-siblings, John Melick on her mother's side and Alex Aniston on her father's side. Her godfather was actor Telly Savalas, one of her father's best friends.
As a child, Jennifer Aniston lived in Greece for a year with her family. They then moved to Eddystone, Pennsylvania, and when her father was offered a role on the television drama Love of Life, they moved to New York. After the divorce of her parents, she lived with her mother.
When she was six years old, she began attending the Rudolf Steiner School, a Waldorf education school that applies Rudolf Steiner's theories, where one of her paintings was presented and exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
During 1989, she acts in various television shows. In 1993, she gets a role in Leprecham. In 1996 she appeared in the Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers music video Walls.
She auditioned for a series called Friends Like Us. She was tested for the role of Monica, although she told the producers that she found herself more identified with the role of Rachel. In March 2010, The Bounty Hunter was released, in which she co-starred with Gerard Butler, and Just Go with It, opposite Adam Sandler, was released on Valentine's Day 2011. The following year he appeared in the comedy Wanderlust, and shot We're the Millers, in Wilmington, North Carolina and in the state of New Mexico. The film, another comedy, was released on August 7, 2013, and was a box office success.
In 2013, she played the role of Mickey Dawson in Life of Crime, a film adaptation of the novel The Switch. Also in 2014, she starred in Cake.
In 2016 she is the lead in Mother's Day, directed by Garry Marshall, in which she worked with Julia Roberts and Kate Hudson.
In The Yellow Birds (2018), a war film, she played the mother of a deceased soldier.
Aniston returned to television on November 1, 2019, producing and starring opposite Reese Witherspoon in the Apple TV+ drama The Morning Show.
He starred in commercials among others for Renault Clio, L'Oreal shampoo (she is one of the most sought-after shampoo models) and Microsoft. Since 2007, he has worked on an advertising campaign for the SmartWater drink and for more than a year on a new perfume, which was launched on July 21, 2010, at Harrods in London. The perfume was to be named Lolavie after Jennifer Aniston, but to avoid confusion with a similar name, the name was changed to Jennifer Aniston.
She had romantic relationships with Adam Duritz, leader of the Counting Crow gang, and Charlie Schlatter, an actor with whom she worked on the series Ferris Bueller. She lived in the Hollywood Hills with her boyfriend, actor Tate Donovan (the original voice of Hercules), a former partner of Sandra Bullock and Courtney Thorne-Smith (Melrose Place).
She married fellow actor Brad Pitt on July 29, 2000, in Malibu. On October 2, 2005, Pitt and Aniston divorced, ending more than four years of union.
After divorcing, she began a relationship with actor Vince Vaughn, with whom she co-starred in The Break-Up. She then dated British model Paul Sculfor for a few months in 2007. In February 2008, she began dating musician John Mayer. The couple split in August, but resumed dating in October before splitting again in March 2009.
Related to the American actor, director and screenwriter Justin Theroux since May 2011, with whom she became engaged in August 2012. They married on August 5, 2015. After two and a half years of marriage, and when the actress was 49 years old, they separated, as confirmed by both through a statement.
