Biography of Kaley Cuoco

Kaley Christine Cuoco was born on November 30, 1985 in Camarillo, California. She is an American actress.

Kaley Cuoco was born to realtor Gary Carmine Cuoco and housewife Layne Ann Wingate. Her father is of Italian descent and her mother is of Anglo-German descent. She played tennis until she was 17 and was ranked in the top 100 of the Southern California Tennis Association as an amateur in 1998. Her younger sister Briana Cuoco was a contestant on the fifth season of NBC's The Voice.

At the age of six, Cuoco worked as a model and appeared in various commercials. She had her first major role in 1992 in the television film Quicksand: No Escape alongside Donald Sutherland and Tim Matheson. She became internationally known from 2002 through the role of Bridget Hennessy in 8 Simple Rules, for which she received the Teen Choice Award in 2003. She then starred as Billie Jenkins in Charmed Season 8.

From 2007 to 2019 she played Penny in the US sitcom The Big Bang Theory. In September 2010, she broke her leg while riding. The character Penny was subsequently dropped from the show's fourth season for two episodes.

Cuoco hosted the Teen Choice Awards in August 2011 and the People's Choice Awards in January 2012 and 2013. In 2014, she received her first People's Choice Award for Favorite Comedy TV Actress and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for television.

Since 2020 she has been playing the leading role in the TV series The Flight Attendant. Her acting has earned her nominations for a Golden Globe, Critics' Choice Television Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards, among others.

From October 2011 to March 2012 she was engaged to therapist and former bassist for the Americanhard rock bandDanzig, Josh "Lazie" Resnik. In 2012, she was dating musician Bret Bollinger, bassist and vocalist for the musical groupPepper.

On New Year's Eve 2013, she married American tennis playerRyan Sweetingin Southern California, with whom she had been in a relationship since the summer of 2013. The couple divorced in May 2016.

In late November 2017, she and show jumperKarl Cookannounced their engagement. The wedding took place on June 30, 2018. She lived with her husband in Hidden Hills in the San Fernando Valley. In September 2021, the couple announced their amicable separation.
