This contains the songs Under the Sheets and Wish I Stayed and three videos. The EP was later released in America as well, where it got a new track listing.
In March 2010 their debut album Lights was finally released. Her second single, Starry Eyed, had previously reached number 4 in the UK Singles Chart. The song was featured on the Kick-Ass comic book soundtrack and was also used in the final episode of Awkward's first season. The third and fourth singles were the songs Guns and Horses and The Writer, which reached number 24 and 19, respectively.
On September 19, 2011, it was announced that Ellie Goulding would be the opening act on Katy Perry's California Dreams Tour. She replaced Jessie J, who was unable to attend due to a foot injury.
In February 2011 she announced in an interview that she had started work on her second album, which was released on October 9, 2012 in Great Britain under the name Halcyon.
In 2012, Ellie Goulding was also featured on the song Fall into the Sky by Zedd, which appeared on Zedd's album Clarity, and in a collaboration with Skrillex on the song Bittersweet, a contribution to the soundtrack of the film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, the final film in the Twilight series.
In July 2013 she announced that a re-release of the album Halcyon was planned. Halcyon Days was released in the UK on August 23, 2013.
