Biography of Behati Prinsloo

Behati Prinsloo Levine was born on May 16, 1988 in Grootfontein, South West Africa. She is a Namibian fashion model. She rose to fame as the face of PINK, Victoria's Secret's teenage line, and has been a Victoria's Secret "Angel" since 2009.

At 16, Behati Prinsloo was spotted by a photographer in a Cape Town supermarket. After the test shots, the pastor's daughter was signed by the British agency Storm Model Management and started her career as a model. She is close friends with model Coco Rocha.

This was followed by covers for Italian magazine Muse, British magazine Telegraph Magazine, Russian Vogue in February 2007 and US magazine Velvet in June 2007. Behati Prinsloo has also worked on campaigns for labels such as Adore, Aquascutum, Chanel, H&M, Hugo Boss, Kurt Geiger, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Max Studio and Nina Ricci. The model walked in fashion shows for Prada, Paul Smith, Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, Versace, Chanel, Missoni and DKNY.

Highlights in her career were participation in the Victoria's Secret shows in the years 2007-2015. In 2009, she was ranked 31st in the Top 50 Models Woman and 14th in The Top Sexiest Models.

Prinsloo's agencies are Women Management (New York City), Storm Model (London), Marilyn Agency (Paris), D Management Group (Milan) and Modelwerk (Hamburg).

In 2012, Prinsloo made a guest appearance on the US crime drama Hawaii Five-0 (S03E09).

She has been married to Adam Levine since July 20, 2014 and gave birth to their daughter in September 2016. In February 2018 their second daughter was born.

She still has close ties to her home country of Namibia and is committed to protecting rhinos, among other things.
