Biography of Tricia Helfer

Tricia Helfer was born on April 11, 1974 in Donalda, Alberta. She is a Canadian model.

Tricia Helfer is of German, English, Swedish and Norwegian descent and has one younger and two older sisters.

She was spotted at 17 by a fashion industry talent scout while waiting in line at a movie theater in her hometown. In 1992 she won the Ford Supermodel of the World Contest in Los Angeles and started a career as a model.

She has appeared in magazines such as Elle, Vogue and Cosmopolitan and has worn designs by fashion houses such as Ralph Lauren, Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Victoria's Secret and Christian Dior on the catwalk. She also worked as a moderator for a Canadian TV fashion magazine.

In 1999, Helfer made her acting debut in an episode of the television series Roswell. In 2002 she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a film career. Helfer has been married to attorney Jonathan Marshall since 2003. She has appeared in episodes of Jeremiah, Supernatural, and CSI: Vegas, among others. She had her breakthrough as an actress in 2003 as the Cylon "Number Six", one of the main roles in the science fiction series Battlestar Galactica.

From May 2006 she was a producer and presenter of the talent show Canada's Next Top Model in her home country. After the successful first season, she gave up the task in order to devote more time to her acting career.

In the thriller Walk All Over Me(2007) she appeared on the side of Leelee Sobieski. After the end of Battlestar Galactica, Helfer made guest appearances on various television series. So was seen in 2008 and 2009 in several episodes of the television series Burn Notice as an antagonist of the main character. In 2010 she played an FBI agent in the series Dark Blue. In Lucifer, she played the mother of the eponymous devil, who is on vacation from hell on earth, in 35 episodes from 2016 to 2018.
