Biography of Olivia Culpo

Olivia Culpo was born on May 8, 1992 in Cranston, Rhode Island. She is an American actress and model. In 2012, she was elected Miss USA and Miss Universe 2012.

Olivia Frances Culpo comes from a family of five children. His father, a restaurateur, co-owns businesses in the Boston area. She grew up in the Edgewood neighborhood of Cranston. On her mother's side, she has Italian origins with Irish ancestry.

Culpo attended St. Mary Academy–Bay View and then Boston University but did not graduate. She learned to play the cello in elementary school and played in several orchestras such as Rhode Island Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Rhode Island Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble, Bay View Orchestra and Rhode Island All-State Orchestra. She attended the Brevard Music Center International Institute in Brevard, North Carolina for two summers and performed with the Boston Accompanietta.

After winning the Miss Rhode Island USA pageant, she entered and won the Miss USA contest on June 3, 2012.

On July 6, 2012, the town of Cranston held a homecoming ceremony for Culpo. During this ceremony, which took place at City Hall, Mayor Allan Fung presented him with the keys to the city. She represents the United States at the Miss Universe pageant which takes place on December 19, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She won the title of Miss Universe 2012 and became the 8th Miss Universe representing the United States, succeeding Leila Lopes, Miss Universe 2011.

In January 2013, during an official trip to Jakarta in Indonesia, she took part in a discussion with young Indonesians in order to do prevention on the Human Immunodeficiency Virus for the United Nations Population Fund.

Culpo becomes an important personality on social networks following her election and associates herself as an influencer with the brands L'Oréal, Kipling and überliss.

She first appeared on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue magazine in 2018 and then a second time in 2020 alongside models Jasmine Sanders and Kate Bock.

Between 2013 and 2015, Culpo dated American singer Nick Jonas. She had a romantic relationship with athlete Tim Tebow until November 2015. She began a tumultuous relationship with footballer Danny Amendola from February 2016 until April 2019. Since 2019, she has been in a relationship with another football player, Christian McCaffrey.
