Biography of Kristen Stewart

Kristen Jaymes Stewart was born on April 9, 1990 in Los Angeles, California. She is an American film actress, director and screenwriter.

Kristen Jaymes Stewart grew up in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles with her older brother Cameron and her two adopted brothers, Taylor and Dana.;

Her first minor acting role was in the Disney TV movie The Thirteenth Year (1999) after the then eight-year-old was spotted by an acting agent at a theater play at her elementary school. This was followed by an extra role in The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas (2000), as well as appearances in several commercials, including for the Porsche car brand.

Stewart's first major role was in the independent film The Safety of Objects (2001), where she played Patricia Clarkson's tomboy daughter. She first received greater attention for her role in the film Panic Room (2002), in which she played Meg Altmann's (Jodie Foster) daughter Sarah, who had diabetes.

Stewart played the daughter of Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone in the thriller Cold Creek Manor (2003). In the US remake of the Danish children's film Kletter-Ida, Mission: Possible (2004), Stewart co-starred. At the age of 13 she took on the role of a high school student who is raped by an older classmate at a party in Speak (2004), but she does not confide in anyone. Her performance in Speak was very well received.

In 2005, Stewart starred in Fierce People opposite Diane Lane and Donald Sutherland and starred in the fantasy film Zathura as Lisa. In 2006, Stewart took on the role of teenager Lucy Hardwicke in the romantic drama In the Land of Women, opposite Meg Ryan and Adam Brody.

In 2008, Stewart played 15-year-old Georgia in the drama The Cake Eaters. In the same year she embodied the film character of Martine alongside William Hurt and Maria Bello in the remake of the drama The Yellow Handkercief and had a supporting role in the Sean Penn film What Just Happened.

In 2009, she starred opposite Jesse Eisenberg in Adventureland, starring as Emily "Em" Lewin.

In 2008, Kristen Stewart suddenly became internationally known for the role of Bella Swan in Twilight (2008), the film adaptation of the first book in the four-part novel series by Stephenie Meyer.

Stewart played Joan Jett in The Runaways (2010), a film about the rock 'n' roll band of the same name.

In 2010, Stewart starred in the drama Welcome to the Rileys alongside James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo as Mallory, a teenage prostitute.

In 2012 she also appeared in On the Road and Snow White and the Huntsman.

Stewart lives in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles.

While filming Speak, she met Michael Angarano, with whom two years later they began a relationship. However, the couple separated again in 2009. Until 2013, Stewart was romantically involved with her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson, except for a brief break in July 2012.

In July 2016, she confirmed that she was in a relationship with her former personal assistant, Alicia Cargile. After that she was briefly involved with the singer St. Vincent. From 2016 to 2018, Kristen Stewart was in a relationship with New Zealand model Stella Maxwell.

In 2019, Kristen Stewart's relationship with Los Angeles screenwriter Dylan Meyer became known.
