Biography of Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Michelle Tisdale was born on July 2, 1985 in West Deal, Monmouth County, New Jersey. She is an American actress, singer and voice actress.

Her parents are Lis Tisdale, and Mike Tisdale. She grew up in Ocean Township and has a sister named Jennifer Tisdale, four years her senior, who is also an actress. Her maternal grandfather is Arnold Morris, the developer of Ginsu Knives. Her mother is Jewish and Tisdale considers herself Jewish as well.

She was discovered in a mall by Bill Perlman, her current manager, when she was three. She starred in nearly 100 commercials. At the age of eight she had a supporting role in the Broadway musical Les Misérables and toured the world with the musical Annie. She has acted in the stage productions Gypsy: A Musical Fable and The Sound of Music at the Monmouth County Jewish Community Center, among others. Her breakthrough came with the film series High School Musical (2006-2008).

Ashley Michelle Tisdale made her television debut in 1997 on the television series Smart Guy. A year later she worked as a voice actress for the cartoon The Big Crawl. This was followed by a few episode appearances in various television series, such as BeverlyHills, 90210 and Boston Public.

In 2001, Ashley Tisdale played a supporting role in the cult film Donnie Darko, starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Ashley Tisdale got her break in 2005 with her role as Maddie Fitzpatrick on the TV series The Suit Life of Zack & Cody. One of her most famous roles is as Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical trilogy, in which she plays the spoiled and selfish twin sister of Ryan Evans (Lucas Grabeel).

Her songs Bop to the Top and What I've Been Looking For (both with Lucas Grabeel) hit the Billboard Hot 100 in February 2006. Both songs are from High School Musical. Another song is Kiss the Girl. On February 6, 2007 Ashley Tisdale released her first solo album called Headstrong, of which her first single was titled He Said She Said and was her first solo chart hit. On October 12, 2007.

On June 12, 2009 the second solo album Guilty Pleasure will be released. It's Alright, It's OK was released as a pre-single in early May.

In 2008, according to Forbes Magazine, Tisdale was one of the highest-earning young actors in Hollywood. Since then she has also worked as a model for miniskirts. Between June 2007 and June 2008, she earned $5.5 million in fees and ranked sixth with Emma Watson behind Daniel Radcliffe, Miley Cyrus, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, the Jonas Brothers and Zac Efron.

In 2021, Tisdale starred in the interactive survival horror video game House of Ashes via motion capture.

On September 8, 2014, shemarriedher longtime boyfriend, musicianChristopher French. In October 2020, the couple announced that they are expecting their first child. Her daughter was born on March 23, 2021.
