Biography of Betty Gilpin
Betty Gilpin was born on July 21, 1986 in New York, United States.
She is the daughter of actors Jack Gilpin and Ann McDonough.
She studied at The Loomis Chaffee School. In 2008 she graduated from Fordham University, where she studied with Dianne Wiest.
She debuted with guest star roles in various television series such as: Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Fringe or Medium, among others.
Between 2013 and 2015, she played Dr. Carrie Roman in the series Nurse Jackie.
Recognition came with the role of Debbie "Liberty Belle" Eagan in the Netflix comedy series GLOW (2017-2019), inspired by the 1980s women's professional wrestling league of the same name, and for which she received numerous award nominations for her performance, including two Critics' Choice Television Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
She appeared in movies like Ghost Town (2008), Take Care (2014), True Story (2015), and Future '38 (2017).
Between 2019 and 2020, she shot the romantic comedy Isn't It Romantic, the drama A Dog's Journey, the action film Stuber, and the horror film The Hunt.
During 2021 she worked on the science fiction film The Tomorrow War.
In 2016, she married actor Cosmo Pfeil.
