Biography of Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift was born on December 13, 1989 in Reading, Pennsylvania, United States.

She is the daughter of Scott Swift, a financial adviser, and Andrea Gardner Finlay, a housewife who previously worked as an investment fund marketing executive. Ella's brother Austin is two years younger than her.

She credited Shania Twain as her biggest influence, although she is also a fan of>Britney Spears.

Self-titled, her first album, Taylor Swift, was released on October 24, 2006, featuring country and pop songs composed during her freshman year of high school.

Her second studio album, Fearless, was released in the United States on November 11, 2008, with all songs written or co-written by herself.

In 2009 she appeared for the first time on Saturday Night Live, and at the 44th Academy of Country Music Awards, she was presented with the "Album of the Year" award, being the youngest artist to receive it. Fearless became the most awarded album in country music history.

She made her film debut in early 2010 in the movie Valentine's Day. For the soundtrack she contributed the song Today Was a Fairytale, which sold 1,000,000 copies in its first week on sale.

On July 20, 2010, she announced that her third album, Speak Now, would be released on October 25 of the same year with 14 songs written by her.

The first single from her was Mine released on August 4. She introduced her new tour on September 7, 2010 beginning in February 2011 in Osaka, Japan, and with a total of 111 concerts in 18 countries it lasted until 2012.

In 2012, she contributed two compositions to the film The Hunger Games. The songs were Safe & Sound andEyes Open.

Her next work was titled 1989and was released on October 27, 2014.

She is the winner of eleven American Music Awards, seven Grammy Awards and six Country Music Association Awards.

Swift's first track with Republic Records was, Me!, the lead single from her seventh studio album titled Lover (2019). The song debuted at number 100 on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 2 in its second week.

Her eighth studio album, Folklore, was a surprise release on July 24, 2020. Written and recorded while Swift was in isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Swift's ninth studio album, Evermore, was released on December 11, 2020 with collaborations from Bon Iver, Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff, and with the bands Haim and The National.

She dated singer Joe Jonas from August to October 2008, and actor Taylor Lautner from October to December 2009.

From late 2009 to 2010, she was associated with musician John Mayer; then with actor Jake Gyllenhaal, from October to December 2010.

She would later date politician Conor Kennedy from July to September 2012, and then One Direction singer Harry Styles from October 2012 to January 2013.

In May 2015, she moved in with Scottish DJ and record producer Calvin Harris, whom she met three months earlier when they were both attending the BRITs. Taylor introduced her new partner to her parents during a family visit.

On December 8, 2017, she was seen, for the first time, holding hands with her new boyfriend Joe Alwyn, a British model.
