Jennifer Marie Morrison was born on April 12, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois. She is an American actress.

Morrison modeled as a child and appeared in commercials. She first came to prominence at the age of ten when she appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated for Kids alongside popular basketball player Michael Jordan.

In 1994 she made her film debut opposite Richard Gere and Sharon Stone in Intersection. This was followed by appearances in the comedy Miracle on 34th Street.Parallel to her work as an actress, she completed her studies in English and theater studies at Loyola University Chicago in just three years. She spent the summer of 2000 training with the Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago.

Her breakthrough as an actress came with the series Dr. House, in which she played Dr. Allison Cameron. In 2005 she starred alongside Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

In the eleventh Star Trek film, which was released in May 2009, she embodies the role of Winona Kirk, the mother of Captain James T. Kirk. At the end of 2009 she rose to the series Dr. House and starred on Broadway in New York. However, she returned to the series for guest appearances.

She also starred as Zoey Pierson in the sixth season of the sitcom How I Met Your Mother. From 2011 to 2018 she played the lead role of Emma Swan in the ABC-produced fantasy series Once Upon a Time.

From December 2006 to August 2007 she was with her fellow actor from Dr. House, Jesse Spencer, engaged.

From summer 2012 to July 2013 she was in a relationship with Sebastian Stan, whom she met on the set of the television series Once Upon a Time.

She began dating Gerardo Celasco in 2019.On April 8, 2022, Morrison confirmed they had married.
