Biography of Michelle Pfeiffer
Michelle Pfeiffer was born on April 29, 1958 in Santa Ana, California, United States.
She was the second of four children born to Richard Pfeiffer, an air-conditioning salesman, and Donna Taverna, a homemaker. She had an older brother, Rick, and two younger sisters, Dedee, an actress, and Lori Pfeiffer. She with French, Irish, English, Welsh, Dutch, Swiss, German and Swedish ancestry.
The family moved to Midway, where Ella Pfeiffer spent her childhood. She attended Fountain Valley High School, graduating in 1975.
She worked as a cashier at a local supermarket and attended Golden West College, where she studied to be a reporter. She for a while she studied shorthand and then she decided to start her career as an actress.
She was the winner of the Miss Orange County beauty pageant in 1978, and she participated in Miss California that same year, finishing in sixth place. She then hired an agent and began auditioning for television and movies.
She studied acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. She appeared in commercials and her first leading role was in the movie Grease 2.
Endowed with an extraordinary beauty, during the 80's she demonstrated a wide range in her films.
In 1983 she accompanied Al Pacino in the gangster film Scarface, followed by The Witches of Eastwick (1988), along with Jack Nicholson, Cher and Susan Sarandon, Married to the Mob (1988), Dangerous Liaisons (Dangerous friendships, 1988) , with Glenn Close and John Malkovich, and The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989).
Other notable films include: The Russia House (1990) with Sean Connery, Frankie and Jonnhy (1991), with Al Pacino, Batman Returns (1992), Wolf (1993), Dangerous Minds (1995) and One Fine Day (1996). ) with George Clooney.
In 1997, she began producing with adaptations of Jane Smiley's, A Thousand Acres and Jacquelyn Mitchard's, The Deep End of the Ocean.

In 2011 she premiered the comedy New Year's Eve and in 2012 Dark Shadows, directed by Tim Burton and in which she worked alongside Johnny Depp.
She had her first Emmy Award nomination for her performance in the HBO television movie The Wizard of Lies (2017), and worked in Murder on the Orient Express (2017), making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Janet Van Dyne in Ant-Manand the Wasps (2018). She reprized her role as Janet in Avengers: Endgame.
In October 2019, she stars in the sequel to Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. She shot the black comedy French Exit (2020), which premiered at the New York Film Festival.
She received the following awards: BAFTA, Berlin Film Festival, Blockbuster, Golden Globe, Los Angeles Film Critics, National Board of Review, National Society of Film Critics, New York Film Critics Circle, Verona Film Festival, Crystal.
She was nominated three times for an Academy Award, for her performances in Dangerous Liaisons (1988), The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989), and Love Field (1992).
She married in 1981 with the actor and director Peter Horton, known for the series Thirtysomething.
After her divorce in 1989, she was romantically linked with fellow actor Fisher Stevens and was related to Eric Clapton, Kevin Costner, Michael Keaton, John Malkovich, Al Pacino, Fisher Stevens and Kiefer Sutherland.
In January 1993 she met David Kelley; in that same year she adopted a girl, Claudia Rose. She married Kelley on November 13, 1993. The fruit of this marriage was born in 1994 John Henry.
Having been a smoker for over ten years, and having a niece who suffered from leukemia, she decided to support the American Cancer Society, in addition to giving her support to the Humane Society. Pfeiffer became a vegan.
