Biography of Sarah Jessica Parker
Sarah Jessica Parker was born in Nelsonville, Ohio, on March 25, 1965. She is an American film, theater and television actress and producer.
The fourth of eight children, born into a Jewish family. Parker was born in Nelsonville, Ohio and raised in Cincinnati and began studying and dancing with the Cincinnati Ballet when she was eight years old, at which age she also appeared on a local television show called "The Little Match Girl."
Later she was one of the protagonists of the sitcom Square Pegs 1982, which lasted only one season, despite the good reviews. She continued in that role with appearances in such films as Footloose,L.A. Story, and Hocus Pocus.
More important films followed: she acted in Honeymoon in Vegas, a film in which she had the opportunity to demonstrate her talent as a comedian. She has had roles in Striking Distance and Ed Wood (1994). In 1995 she landed a starring role in the movie Miami Rhapsody. In the year 1996 she had roles in The First Wives Club, If Lucy Fell and Mars Attacks!. In 1999 she starred in the blockbuster Dudley-Do-Right opposite Brendan Fraser.
She rose to fame playing the role of Carrie Bradshaw on the television seriesSex and the City(1998-2004), for which shewon four Golden Globes and two Emmys, among other awards. In 2008 she returned to the role of her that made her famous by being part of the cast ofSex and the City.
In 2010, a second film inspired by the popular HBO series, entitled Sex and the City 2, was released, which also starred Parker, Davis, Cattrall and Nixon, and featured cameo appearances by Liza Minnelli, Penelope Cruz and Miley Cyrus. Like the previous installment of the saga, it was widely accepted by the public, but not by critics.
In 2012 she became part of the cast of the fourth season of Glee, being a special guest. She appeared in four episodes of the series, where she played the mentor of main character Kurt Hummel, who is brought to life by actor Chris Colfer.
She is also known worldwide for being the fashion icon. She is also the face of her own fragrances,Lovely, Covet, Dawn, Endless, TwilightandSJP NYC.
In 1997 shemarriedactorMatthew Broderick, with whom she has three children: James (October 28, 2002) and a set of twins (surrogates), Marion Loretta and Tabitha (June 23, 2009).
