Biography of Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif (formerly Katrina Turquotte also Turcotte) was born on July 16, 1983 in Hong Kong.

Kaif later moved with her family to Hawaii and London, where she began her modeling career at the age of 14. Her first job was with a jewelry campaign. Her father is from Kashmir and, according to her, is a businessman. Her mother, Suzanne Turquotte, is a lawyer. Her younger sister Isabel Kaif is an actress starting her career. In order to keep up in Bollywood, she took Hindi and dance classes.

She had her first success alongside Salman Khan in Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya. In 2007 Kaif played in the blockbusters Partner and Welcome. In 2008, she starred in another blockbuster, Singh Is Kinng.

She formed a screen couple with Shah Rukh Khan in Yash Chopra's last romance film Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012). The film became a big hit outside of India as well. With Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, Kaif starred in Dhoom: 3 and Ek Tha Tiger. Both films became commercial successes.

In 2014, she starred opposite Hrithik Roshan in the official Knight and Day remake Bang Bang! with, which attracted many viewers to the cinema despite some bad reviews.
