Esha Gupta was born in New Delhi, on November 28, 1985. She is an Indian film actress, model and former beauty queen, winner of the 2007 Miss India International title. She has established a remarkable career in Bollywood cinema.

Gupta participated in the Femina Miss India pageant in 2007, where she placed third and won the title of Miss India International, representing her country in the Miss International pageant. She soon received offers for film roles, and made her Her acting debut in the moderately successful thriller Jannat 2 in 2012, which earned her a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Female Debut. Gupta received praise for her performance in the political drama Chakravyuh (2012), but her performance in the comedy film Humshakals(2014) met with negative reviews. She had the biggest commercial successes of her own with starring roles in the horror film Raaz 3D (2012) and the thriller Rustom (2016).
