Hayden Lesley Panettiere was born August 21, 1989 in Orangetown, New York. She is an American actress, voice actress, singer, activist and model.

Hayden Panettiere was born in Palisades, a suburb of Orangetown. Her parents are Lesley R. Vogel, a former soap opera actress, and Alan Lee "Skip" Panettiere, a fire chief. Her younger brother Jansen Panettiere is also an actor.

At the age of four she got a role in the TV series Love, Lies, Passion, which she kept until 1997. From 1996 to 2000 she played a supporting role in the series Springfield Story. She is best known for her role as Maddie Harrington, Ally McBeal's daughter, in the final season of Ally McBeal. She was nominated for a Young Artist Award for the role of Natalie Scheffer in the feature film Joe Somebody.

From 2006 to 2010, she played Claire Bennet, a cheerleader with regenerative powers, on the NBC television series Heroes. She has also appeared several times as Jessica on the sitcom Malcolm in the Middle. In 2011, she portrayed Amanda Knox in the TV movie Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy, based on the 2007 murder of Meredith Kercher. That same year she was part of the cast of Wes Craven's horror film Scream 4, where she co-starred alongside Neve Campbell and Emma Roberts.

From 2012 to 2018, she starred in the ABC musical series Nashville as Juliette Barnes, an aspiring country singer. For this role, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress - Series, Mini-Series or TV Movie at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.

In addition to her acting career, Panettiere is also a voice actress. In 1998 she dubbed the character Dot in the animated film A Bug's Life.

In October of 2013 theengagementof Panettiere and boxer Wladimir Klitschko was confirmed. On December 9, 2014, Panettiere and Klitschko became parents to a daughter. She broke up amicably with Klitschko in August 2018 and has been friends with him ever since. From 2018 to 2020 she was in a relationship with Brian Hickerson. She separated from him in 2020 due to irreconcilable differences.

In October 2015, Panettiere entered treatment forpostnatal depression. Her acting role as successful country singer Juliette Barnes in the seriesNashvillenot only included her pregnancy, but also her struggle with postnatal depression.
