Biography of Kacey Musgraves
Kacey Musgraves was born on August 21, 1988 in Mineola, Texas. She is an American country music artist and Grammy Award winner.
Kacey Musgraves first appeared on stage at the age of eight and then began to learn various instruments and write his own songs. She self-produced and released her first three albums between 2002 and 2007, but had little success with them. Only the Nashville Star talent competition opened the doors to the music business for her. First her songs were taken over by artists like Martina McBride and Miranda Lambert, then in 2012 she got a record deal from Mercury Nashville.
Musgraves had a successful debut on the country and official singles charts that same year with their debut single Merry Go 'Round. It went gold and was voted Billboard's country single of the year. Their debut major label album, Same Trailer Different Park, went to number one on the country charts, number two on the Billboard 200 and even charted in the UK. She was subsequently named New Artist of the Year at the CMA Awards. For the 2014 Grammy Awards, Kacey Musgraves received four nominations, including one in the main category for Newcomer of the Year. She won two of the awards for Merry Go 'Round for Best Country Song and Same Trailer, Different Park for Best Country Album.
In March 2015, Musgraves released Biscuits, the first single from their second album, Pageant Material. The song is a mid-tempo number and deals with the fact that people shouldn't always stick their noses into other people's affairs.
Her third studio album, Golden Hour, was released in 2018 and won all four Grammy categories for which she was nominated: Album of the Year and Best Country Album, as well as Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song for the two singles Butterflies and Space Cowboy.
