Irina Valeryevna Shaykhlislamova (Irina Shayk) was born on January 6, 1986 in Yemanschelinsk. She is a Russian model.

Shayk is the daughter of a Tatar father and a Russian mother.

She is best known as a model for underwear and swimwear. Since 2009 she has been advertising for Calzedonia's Italian label Intimissimi. In 2011, she was the cover model for Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue. Shayk shot campaigns for La Perla, Armani, Lacoste and Guess. She has appeared on the covers and editorials of Vogue, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Marie Claire, GQ, Maxim, Cosmopolitan, Allure and Glamour.

Shayk is also building a maternity hospital in her hometown and has funded the rebuilding of the local hospital's pediatric ward. She is the official ambassador of Pomogi, a charity in Russia that takes care of sick children. She promotes better lending to the Red Cross.

From May 2010 to January 2015 Shayk was in a relationship with the Portuguese soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo. A few weeks after the breakup, she met Bradley Cooper. In April 2017, the birth of their first child together became known. She and the American actor have been living separately since June 2019.

In 2014, she made her acting debut in the film Hercules. She plays the wife of Hercules, played by Dwayne Johnson.
