Biography of Mirjam Weichselbraun

Mirjam Weichselbraun was born on September 27, 1981 in Innsbruck. She is an Austrian television presenter, actress and voice actress.

Starting in 1998, Weichselbraun gained his first experience in the media industry working for the Austrian regional radio station Antenne Tirol. She first gained notoriety when she was voted BRAVO Girl 2000.

After working for the regional television station Tirol TV and briefly presenting the cultural program Das Magazin, she applied to the newly founded television station Viva Plus in 2001, where Weichselbraun moderated the program Cologne Day for eight months until she was hired. She then moved to MTV Germany in Munich and later to Berlin, where she was the face of the programs Select MTV (until January 2005) and TRL (until April 2007).

In addition to working at MTV, Weichselbraun moderated an online magazine for ZDF from 2003 on the Wetten, dass..? show. From 2004 she also supervised the live broadcasts of the ORF format Expedition Austria together with Christian Clerici, a year later the Austrian preliminary round for the Eurovision Song Contest and the ORF broadcast Dancing Stars with Alfons Haider, from 2008 with Klaus Eberhartinger and from September 2021 with Norbert Oberhauser.

In autumn 2020, she had to be represented by Kristina Inhof because of the COVID 19 pandemic safety rules.She was awarded a Golden Romy in 2006, 2008, 2011 and 2012 for her moderation of Dancing Stars.

After a two-year relationship, Weichselbraun separated from the singer Marque in spring 2007. She was in a relationship with the Sat.1 breakfast television presenter Jan Hahn, but broke up with him in September 2011 after four years of relationship. She has been in a relationship with Lana Del Rey manager Ben Mawson since 2013. On May 10, 2013, she announced live on Dancing Stars that she was expecting a baby. Their daughter was born on September 28, 2013 in Tyrol, but they live in the London borough of Islington.

In August 2019, Weichselbraun's second daughter was born.
