Biography of Elizabeth Debicki
Elizabeth Debicki was born August 24, 1990 in Paris. She is an Australian actress.
Debicki was born in Paris, the eldest daughter of a Polish father and an Australian mother. When she was five years old, the family moved to Melbourne. She graduated from Melbourne University's Victorian College of the Arts with a degree in English and Acting in 2010.
Debicki had her first film role in the 2011 Australian-British comedy film A Few Best Men as Maureen. Shortly after graduating from college, she sent a demo tape to Baz Luhrmann for a role in his film The Great Gatsby. After auditioning in Los Angeles, she was announced in May 2011 to play Jordan Baker in the film.
In 2017, she took on the role of Ayesha in the comic book adaptation Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.
In addition to her work as a film actress, she has also appeared in theater productions in Melbourne and Sydney.
In 2018 she was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which awards the Oscars annually.
In late summer 2020, it was announced that Debicki would play Diana, Princess of Wales in the final seasons five and six of the British series The Crown. This was introduced in the fourth season by actress Emma Corrin.
