Anna Sophia Robb was born on December 8, 1993 in Denver, Colorado. She is an American actress.
Raised by her parents Janet M. and David Robb, she was discovered by McDonald's at the age of ten and signed for a commercial. She first came to international attention with a role in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, in which she starred alongside Johnny Depp, Christopher Lee and Freddie Highmore. Robb celebrated another decisive success in 2007 with the children's film Bridge to Terabithia.
While filming The Reaping, she wrote a short horror story called Backseat Swamp. She also masters break dance and Irish dance.
In 2011, she starred in the film Soul Surfer as surfer Bethany Hamilton. The CW's Sex and the City prequel series The Carrie Diaries starred Robb as Carrie Bradshaw for two seasons from January 2013 to January 2014. The prequel is based on the novel of the same name by Candace Bushnell.
