Kiernan Brennan Shipka was born on November 10, 1999 in Chicago, Illinois. She is an American actress.

Kiernan Shipka was born to John Young Shipka and Erin Ann Brennan. She got her first role at the age of six in the TV movie Angriest Man in Suburbia. Also in 2006, she appeared in two episodes of the crime series Monk in different roles. In 2007 came guest appearances on the series Cory in the House, MADtv, and Heroes. In 2007, she also landed the role of Sally Beth Draper on the AMC series Mad Men, for which she won Screen Actors Guild Awards for Best Ensemble in a Drama Series in 2009 and 2010.

Shipka made her screen debut in the 2008 film Lower Learning. In 2009, she starred in the adventure film Land of the Lost, based on the 1970s TV series Into the Land of the Dinosaurs, and in the end-time thriller Carriers.

2010 followed appearances in the two short films Squeaky Clean and The Ryan and Randi Show as well as in the action comedy Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Kahlohr.

In 2011, Shipka starred as Zoe Cole in the Hallmark TV movie Smooch alongside Emmy Award-winning actress Kellie Martin. From 2012 to 2014, she voiced Jinora in the Nickelodeon-produced animated series The Legend of Korra. From 2018 to 2020 she played the lead role of Sabrina Spellman in the series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
