Biography of Jaime King

Jaime King was born on April 23, 1979 in Omaha, Nebraska. She is an American actress and fashion model. Especially during her modeling career she was also known as James King as her modeling agency already had a Jaime as a client.

King began her career as a model, was a top model by the age of 16 and became addicted to heroin. After her boyfriend died from drugs, she went into rehab and has been considered clean since 1997.

She made her film debut in the 2001 independent film Happy Campers. Roles in the major film productions Pearl Harbor and Bulletproof Monk followed. King's final breakthrough came in 2005 with her dual role in the comic book adaptation Sin City.

She played historical figure Toni Jo Henry in the 2010 film The Pardon. In April 2012, she landed the role of Aubrey Bradimore in Silent Night, the remake of the cult horror film Deadly Night.

In July 2012, Lana Del Rey released a music video for Summertime Sadness, in which King starred opposite the singer, directed by her husband Kyle Newman. She starred in the series Hart of Dixie from 2011 to 2015 alongside Rachel Bilson.

King has been married to Kyle Newman since 2007, whom she met while filming Fanboys. In early May 2013, King's first pregnancy became known. On September 7, 2013, she gave birth to a son. On July 16, 2015, King gave birth to another boy.

In May 2020, King filed for divorce from Newman after 13 years of marriage. King also filed a domestic violence prevention petition and was granted a temporary restraining order against Newman.
