Roselyn Sánchez was born on April 2, 1973. She is a Puerto Rican actress and singer, also known by the names Rosalyn Sanchez, Pipo and Ros.

Roselyn Sánchez studied marketing at the University of Puerto Rico but did not complete it, choosing to focus on acting. In 1992 she appeared in the US film Captain Ron opposite Kurt Russell and then moved to New York to take dance, acting and singing lessons.

Despite her move, she was elected Miss Petite Puerto Rico in both 1993 and 1994, and then Miss Petite America.

From 2001 she appeared in various supporting roles in movies alongside Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker, Cuba Gooding Jr., John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Kevin Spacey and Morgan Freeman. From 2005 she appeared in parallel in the series Kojak and Without a Trace.

She married actor Gary Stretch on August 9, 1998, but they divorced in 2001. In November 2008, she married actor Eric Winter, with whom she had been in a relationship for two years. Their daughter was born in January 2012.
