Biography of Shruti Haasan

Shruti Haasan was born on January 28, 1986 in Chennai. She is an Indian actress and singer who works mainly in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films.

Born into the Haasan family, she is the daughter of Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur. She is the recipient of several awards, including three Filmfare Awards South, and has established herself as one of the leading actresses of South Indian cinema.

Her younger sister Akshara Haasan is also an actress. Actor and lawyer Charuhasan is his uncle. Her cousins are actresses Anu Hasan and Suhasini Maniratnam.

Shruti studied at Lady Andal School in Chennai and moved to Mumbai to study psychology at St. Andrew's College. She focused on film and music, and eventually traveled to the United States to continue learning music at the Musicians Institute in California, before returning to Chennai.

Since her childhood, she sang for movies and participated in a guest movie, before making her debut as a professional actress in a 2009 action drama, titled "Luck" or "Suerte". She later went on to win critical acclaim for her portrayal of the character in Walt Disney fantasy films such as Anaganaga O Dheerudu, Oh My Friend, and 7aam Arivu.

In 2012, she starred in a movie titled Gabbar Singh, a remake of the Tegulu version of the movie "Dabangg". In which it was also her first great commercial success as an actress. She has also continued her path in music, working as a singer and interpreting musical themes in different languages of India, in which she had a musical direction career. Starting with the production of her father Unnaipol Oruvan and with her own music band and release of her first album.
