Biography of Trisha Krishnan

Trisha Krishnamurthy was born on May 4, 1983 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She is an Indian actress and model, who works mainly in Tamil and Telugu films. She also appears in a few Hindi and Malayalam films.

Trisha was born to Krishnan and Uma in Chennai to a Tamil family from Palakkad Iyer. She completed schooling at theSacred Heart School of Enrollmentin Church Park, Chennai. She then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree fromEthiraj College for Women(Chennai).

She was noticed after winning several beauty contests such as the MissMadra s contest (1999), which marked her entry into the cinema.

After playing a supporting role in the 1999 Tamil film Jodi, she had her first leading role in the 2002 film Mounam Pesiyadhe. Later, she rose to fame in blockbuster films like Saamy (2003), Lesa Lesa (2003), Ghilli (2004) in Tamil cinema and Varsham (2004) in Telugu cinema. She wins her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Telugu.

She won the award two more times for Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana (2005) and Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule (2007). In 2010, she made her Bollywood debut in Khatta Meetha.

She was seen in her best performances in Tamil in Abhiyum Naanum (2008), Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010), Endrendrum Punnagai (2013), Yennai Arindhaal (2015), Thoongaa Vanam (2015), Kodi (2016) and '96 (2018) ).
