Biography of Camilla Belle

Camilla Belle Routh was born on October 2, 1986 in Los Angeles, California. She is an American actress.

The daughter of a Brazilian mother and an American father appeared in commercials as a small child.

From the 1990s she acted in television and cinema films, so in 1997 in Steven Spielberg's The Lost World: Jurassic Park and 1998 in The Patriot as Steven Seagal's daughter and in Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman.

Her first starring roles came in the 2000 Disney production Surfer Girls and the fairytale Secret of the Andes. In 2005, she caught the attention of film critics in the drama The Ballad of Jack and Rose as the rebellious daughter of domineering father Daniel Day-Lewis.

She also received good reviews for The Quiet in the same year as a deaf teenager who ends up in a foster family with dark secrets. She also co-starred in The Chumscrubber, an independent melodrama directed by Canadian director Arie Posin.

In 2006, she landed a box office success in the role of the tormented babysitter Jill Johnson in the horror thriller When a Stranger Calls as well as in 2008 with the leading role of Evolet in Roland Emmerich's 10,000 B.C.

In 2007, she co-directed a Nespresso commercial with George Clooney. In 2009, she co-starred in the Heroes-themed superhero thriller Push, alongside Chris Evans, Dakota Fanning and Djimon Hounsou.

Belle appeared in the Jonas Brothers' Lovebug video clip in 2008 and then dated band member Joe Jonas from September of that year until July 2009. In 2013 she had a video appearance again in Enrique Iglesias Heart Attack.
