January Kristen Jones was born on January 5, 1978 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She is an American actress and former model.

January Jones is named after the character "January Wayne" in the novel Once Is Not Enough by Jacqueline Susann.

At 18 she moved to New York to model. She had supporting roles in films like Love Actually (2003) or Dirty Dancing 2: Havana Nights. In 2005 she starred in the film Three Burials directed by Tommy Lee Jones. In 2008, she received a Golden Globe nomination for playing the wife of Don Draper, played by Jon Hamm, on the television series Mad Men.

On September 13, 2011, January Jones gave birth to a son in Santa Monica, California.
