Biography of Jennifer Connelly

Born in upstate New York on December 12, 1970, Jennifer first appeared on the big screen in 1984 in Once Upon a Time in America, where she played the young Deborah, while the following year she was Jennifer Corvino, the protagonist of Phenomena.

In 1986 she starred alongside David Bowie in Labyrinth, the film of Muppet dad Jim Henson destined to become a cult, then it was the turn of a series of titles that Connelly faces as she tries to continue her studies and understand who she is.

In 1996 she is a highly respected dark lady inMulholland Falls, in 1997 she strips again in Inventing the Abbottsand in 1998 she is her in a double role in Alex Proyas' Dark City.

The real success, for Jennifer Connelly was A Beautiful Mind by Ron Howard, a role that earned her an Oscar and a Golden Globe, and a set that introduced her to Paul Bettany, the English actor whom she married in 2003 and with whom she has two children.

Then she is the beauty who can tame the beast in Ang Lee's Hulk and the intense protagonist of The House of Sand and Fog and Dark Water, a remake of the homonymous J-Horror signed by Walter Salles. She plays a pugnacious and idealist journalist in Blood Diamond, and is opposite Kate Winslet in Little Children.

ennifer Connelly then worked again with Ron Howard in The Dilemma and with Darren Aronofsky in the ambitious Noah, she played the role of a homeless in Shelter, and then she was Dawn, the beautiful wife of the Swede, in American Pastoral, a film adaptation of Philip Roth's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel directed and starring Ewan McGregor.

Since 2005 Jennifer Connelly she has been Ambassador for Human Rights to Education for Amnesty International, and since 2012 for Save the Children, and soon we will see her in Granite Mountain, a drama based on the true story of a fire department engaged in the fight against a terrible 2013 fire in Arizona.
