Biography of Sunny Leone

Sunny Leone was born on May 13, 1981 in Sarnia, Ontario. She is an Indian-Canadian model, actress and former pornographic actress. She became known through the title "Penthouse Pet of the Year" in 2003 and was one of the few performers of Indian descent.

In 2011, she took part in the fifth season of Big Boss, the Indian version of Big Brother. Following an offer from Mahesh Bhatt, who also visited the Big Boss house, Leone began an acting career in Bollywood with the film Jism 2 in 2012, ending her previous career as a porn actress.

Leone's father was born in Tibet and raised in New Delhi, while her mother is from a small town called Nahan, Himachal Pradesh. Her family moved to California in 1996. After graduating high school in 1999, she began modeling and increasingly photographed nude. Leone then appeared in magazines and websites with pornographic content. Finally, in 2001, she posed for Penthouse magazine as "Pet of the Month for March"; she also appeared in the Holiday 2001 edition of Hustler. Her popularity allowed her to win the Penthouse Pet of the Year title in 2003. She mainly made softcore recordings that feature both lesbian and solo eroticism.

Leone signed an exclusive deal with Vivid Entertainment, where she eventually began making hardcore videos. In the beginning, Leone only shot with other actresses. In 2004, she was one of the "No More Bush Girls," a series of porn actresses who shaved off their pubic hair to demonstrate against the George W. Bush presidency. Her first release on Vivid was titled Sunny, followed in 2006 by her release Virtual Vivid Girl Sunny Leone (shooting took four days). She was the first Vivid star to record such an interactive video. Leone became a US citizen in June 2006.

Her next film, Sunny and Cher, was released in October 2006 and the following video is called The Gardener Lady and was released in January 2007. In 2007, Leone renewed her contract with Vivid Entertainment, the world leader in pornographic films. The contract stipulated that from now on she also had to work with men.

The first film with a male lead was called Sunny Loves Matt starring Matt Erickson and was released on March 2, 2008. She stars in the remake of Debbie does Dallas...Again, the first Vivid film to be released on Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD. The film It's Sunny in Brazil followed. In the August 2008 issue of the porn magazine "Genesis" she was listed at number 13 in the "Porn's Hot 100" ranking.
